Day 9: We gained nearly 2,000ft to reach Lobuche at 16,200ft. It was a nice, gradual hike in with great weather. We got to see more views of the big mountains as we continue to get closer to Everest Base Camp. These Himalayan mountains are enormous and magnificent.

What is an active rest day? It means you aren’t just sitting around doing nothing all day. We did an easy acclimatization hike this morning gaining approximately 1,000ft.
